We're César and Maria Inês. Azoreans by blood, with family who once left everything behind to build a new life abroad. That's why we started Home of Saudade: to give everyone who left Portugal something to wear that truly represents them, even thousands of miles from home. Because we believe that those who are far away don't just want another postcard of Portugal... They want to keep belonging.
Yes. Home of Saudade is based in Angra do Heroísmo, on Terceira island in the Azores, and every design is made by us. The illustrations, the lettering, the places we choose to put on a hoodie. Your piece is then printed in the region it's shipped to, so it reaches you faster and travels less.
❓ Where do you ship, and how long does it take?
We ship across Europe, UK, to the United States and Canada, and to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Israel and the UAE.
Because every piece is made after you order it, there are two stages: production, 2 to 5 business days, then delivery.
• Europe — 5 to 12 business days in total • UK — 5 to 12 business days in total • United States & Canada — 7 to 15 business days • Australia — 7 to 15 business days • Everywhere else we ship — 9 to 20 business days

❓ Will I have to pay customs or import fees?
NO if you're in the EU, the USA, Canada, the UK or Australia. Your order is printed in your own region and never crosses a customs border (no duties, no import taxes, nothing to pay on arrival). The price at checkout is the final price. For other destinations, local import charges may apply. Those are set by your country, not by us.
❓ Why it takes a few days to produce my order?
Because your piece doesn't exist until you order it. We hold no stock. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting, and nothing gets thrown away unsold. When your order comes in, that specific piece is printed, finished and checked and that takes 2 to 5 business days. It's a few days longer. It's also the reason nothing is made in vain.
❓ What is your return policy?
Because each piece is made only for you, we can't accept returns because of a change of mind or a size that didn't work out. That makes our size guide the most important thing on the page: the measurements are of the garment, not of your body. Lay flat a piece you already wear and love, and compare. Between sizes, go up. Unsure? Email us before you order, we'd much rather answer than disappoint you. Anything faulty, damaged or different from what you ordered is always covered. ❓ What if my order arrives damaged/incorrect?
Email support@homeofsaudade.com within 14 days of delivery with photos of the item and the packaging. You don't need to send anything back. In almost every case, a new piece ships at no cost to you. If you can tell us within 48 hours it helps us claim with the carrier, but if you only notice later, write to us anyway. We look at every case.
❓ How can I track my order?
You'll get an email with a tracking number as soon as your order ships. Tracking often takes 24 to 48 hours to show its first update, that's normal and doesn't mean anything is wrong. If you have no tracking email 7 business days after ordering, or tracking hasn't moved in 7 business days, write to us and we'll chase it.
❓ Can I change/cancel my order after placing it?
Write to support@homeofsaudade.com with your order number as soon as you can. If your order hasn't entered production yet, we can usually change or cancel it. Once printing starts, we can't stop it. Wrong address? Tell us straight away, once a parcel leaves, we can't recover it.
